Carib Cement OperationsCaribbean Cement Company Limited (Carib Cement) began commercial operations in February 1952, with a capacity of 100,000 tonnes.

Since then, the company has experienced substantial growth, with the plant capacity increasing to 200,000 tonnes in 1956, 400,000 tonnes in 1964, and 600,000 tonnes in 1983. Between 2008 - 2009, as a result of extensive plant expansion and modernisation, (the commissioning of Kiln 5 and Mill 5), the company's cement and clinker manufacturing capacities are now 1.8 million and 1.3 million respectively.
